January - Vicar's letter on shortage of clergy
How far does the ordinary churchgoer in England today realise the desperate shortage of clergy?.....Every parent and every teacher should give this matter serious thought. What use will a nation of technicians be if organised religion in this country is allowed to go by default for lack of manpower? Brains without character will get us nowhere.

November - Sale of work
The Vicar's letter in the Magazine comments on the success and hard work which had gone into a recent Sale of Work..."The estimated profit is £1,400, very nice, but quite £500 short of what it will cost us to re-wire our Church. It is so expensive to get work done these days"
